- Valparaíso
The proximity of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar makes the city a mandatory visit for everyone staying in our hotel. Located between the sea and the mountains, colorful buildings rise above steep hills and paint a vibrant landscape through the coast. It is the main Chile port and it was declared by UNESCO as Human Heritage Site. This city full of murals is not for those who do not love walking steep hills.

Urban Elevators
Valparaiso is a steep city; its many hills demand a lot of physical capabilities from those who visit it. Because of that, in 1883 the firsts elevators of the city were built to connect the port with the highest areas of Valparaiso. 30 elevators and funiculars were inaugurated between 1883 and 1930, only 6 remain functioning.
La Sebastiana
You cannot separate Valparaiso from Pablo Neruda. The famous Chilean poet bought this house in 1959 after the death of Sebastian Collado, its architect. The house has 4 floors and an attic, the last one built by the own Neruda. Every floor is decorated with various ornamentations and had any type of added features built by Neruda: windows, stairs, skylights, doors and handlebars. As you ascend in the house, the views to the sea gain more prominence.
Nowadays the house is a museum, administrated by the Neruda foundation.
